What If the Arch Could Flex?

Introducing the new Magnetic Cable Management - Flexible Arches

Back in 2024, we released our Magnetic Cable Management arches which have helped organize countless of cables around the world. But since the arches are made of stiff, hard plastic, it limited the different angles and corners the cables could be secured to.

So we asked ourselves a simple question: What if the arch could flex?

This question sounds simple but leads to many other questions. How do you keep the magnets securely held in something flexible? If the magnets have to be held in something rigid, how does the arch flex? The pin and magnet geometry is designed for best “pull” and we don’t want to change that key feature in our current MCM arches. 

The answer was overmolding.

For the first time at Creator Warehouse, we’re using a two-stage injection molding process. By carefully choosing the right materials that bond during molding, we’re able to combine both hard and soft plastics into a single component. This allows the magnets to be secured in hard plastic while the rest of the arch is flexible.

By doing this, the new Magnetic Cable Management Flexible Arch is not just softer; it unlocks entirely new use cases. You can now wrap it around corners of walls, mount it on square surfaces and table legs, conform it to round poles or curved frames, and you can route cables in tighter, more creative spaces.

Just as flexibility translates directly into more options, dipping our toes into an overmolding process opens up options for us at Creator Warehouse. Overmolding can be applied to our future tools (including screwdriver designs we're already exploring!) and gives us stronger bonding between different materials for future products. It expands what we can build!

Additionally, we're introducing new, revamped packaging. 

Components used to come in separate boxes. Plates were shipped separately and bundles felt fragmented. Now, everything comes together in one clean, condensed box. We want it to feel as organized as your cables will be. 

The new packaging style will roll out with the Flexible Arches and will show up across the rest of the Magnetic Cable Management line-up later this year.

Looking ahead, we’re exploring expanding the size collection of the flexible arches as well. That is still to be determined, but the flexibility of this new material opens the door for different form factors and applications.

This is just the beginning of what overmolding allows us to do.
